Starting this month, a six-month, first-of-its-kind residential recycling pilot project will begin in #EastLansing with involvement from the City, the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, The Recycling Partnership, Prairie Robotics and The Ohio State University.
Utilizing camera technology to capture contamination in carts as well as $28,000 in grant funding and technical support from The Recycling Partnership, the City will implement a comprehensive education and outreach strategy to help residents recycle more, better.
