Today, the #EastLansing Election Commission conducted the public accuracy and logic testing of election equipment for the upcoming August 2, 2022 State Primary Election at a public meeting at East Lansing City Hall. The public testing process is used to verify that equipment is performing properly, ballots have been properly prepared for each precinct and votes will be accurately counted.
“The process of testing the election equipment and programming before the election is a very important part of the administration of the election that we take very seriously in the City Clerk’s Office. We take the extra time to test beyond what is required by law so that we are best prepared for Election Day. Additionally, the involvement of the Election Commission and the public in this transparent process is key to the integrity of the elections conducted in the City of East Lansing,” said City Clerk Jennifer Shuster.
