Disability Rights Michigan

Forum

Last week, the East Lansing City Clerk’s office partnered with Disability Rights Michigan for three days to visit all of the polling locations in East Lansing in order to complete an accessibility report for each location. This is all part of the City Clerk’s Office’s commitment to make sure all East Lansing voters, with or without disabilities, have the opportunity to participate in elections in an equal manner and ensure each voter has access to elections.

Disability Rights Michigan and Self Advocates of Michigan are hosting a discussion forum this Wednesday, May 4 at 2 p.m. for Michigan voters with disabilities to discuss barriers, successes and what can be improved to make voting more accessible across Michigan. This is a non-partisan, issues-focused event intended to raise awareness and hear from voters with disabilities firsthand. Registration is free and you can register for the webinar here: https://linktr.ee/disabilityrightsmi.
