City of East Lansing issued the following announcement on Feb 18.

The East Lansing Downtown Management Board (DMB) is pleased to welcome Risky Studios to downtown East Lansing.

This new downtown East Lansing business is a multimedia production studio and creative co-working space located at 301 M.A.C. Ave., Ste. 106. Husband and wife duo, Joshua and Alicia Southern, opened the business to provide accessible space and equipment for local business owners, artists and content creators to bring their creative endeavors to life. Risky Studios has the space and equipment to accommodate podcasts, photography, videography, audio production, audio recording and more. Time slots for the studio can be booked at https://www.riskystudioslansing.com/ and memberships are available for recurring access to the space and equipment at a discounted price.

“It’s so exciting that Risky Studios is establishing a space in downtown East Lansing for local creatives to work, grow, collaborate and create in,” said East Lansing Community Development Specialist and DMB Staff Resource Ella Signs. “Being the only creative co-working multimedia production studio in East Lansing, Risky Studios is an incredibly welcome addition to the community. I encourage students, young professionals and small businesses alike to utilize the space and its resources for their creative needs.”

Risky Studios will be hosting a grand opening on February 26, 2022 from 2-7 p.m., which will include a ribbon cutting and open house. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the studio, book studio time and purchase memberships at a discounted rate during the event. Food and refreshments will also be served.
