City of East Lansing issued the following announcement on Feb 8.
EAST LANSING LOCAL STREET PLOWING UPDATE: We have received some questions from residents about local street plowing in #EastLansing. All local streets were plowed last week; however, our DPW crews could not transition from major streets to local streets until the snow had stopped falling, at which time the snow on local streets had been packed down by traffic and could not all be removed during plowing. As this residual snow melted during the warmer weather over the weekend and was broken up by traffic, it made many local streets appear to not have been plowed. Please be advised that DPW crews went back through and plowed all local streets again today and will revisit them throughout the week as the temperature continues to rise.
