City of Owosso issued the following announcement on Feb 4.
State of Emergency Lifted:
The Local State of Emergency declared on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, will be lifted at 5:00 p.m. today, Thursday, February 3, 2022.
DPW crews have successfully cleared a large majority of the snow that has fallen in the last 36 hours. Crews have completed two complete passes on all major and local streets. One during the storm and one following the completion of the snowstorm. They are in the process of cleaning up alleys, dead ends, cul-de-sacs, and widening/cleaning up all areas. We are also in the process of and will continue to haul snow from downtown. DPW appreciated everyone's cooperation in not parking on the street so they could plow.
Residents may return to parking their vehicles on the streets once again, as permitted. Penalties for parking overtime in City parking lots will be reinstated at midnight tonight.
