CHS Junior Olivia Wright's love for art began when she was very young
This week's featured artist is Olivia Wright who is a junior at Charlotte High School. Olivia’s love for art began when she was really young. She remembers when she was little people always asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up and it was to be an artist. Olivia’s passion for art grew as she learned more techniques with a large variety of mediums. Olivia’s mom was very artistic and she was encouraged and an inspiration for her growth in talent. Although Olivia loves all genres of art, she has a love for Pablo Picasso’s use of colors and geometric shapes in his work. Olivia loves to work with pencils and oil paint because it is easy to blend color. Her favorite subject matter is when she can incorporate her personality into her work with bright colors and funky shapes because it is representational of her.
