Charlotte Public Schools issued the following announcement on Dec 2.

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our 2nd Annual Oriole Pack event during this holiday season!  More information will be coming from each student's individual school regarding collection efforts but for those of you without students at CPS who want to join us in providing Oriole Packs, please see the information below and complete this form. https://forms.gle/KxthXPk7YJdsJUif8

Each Oriole Pack should include the following non-perishable items (no homemade food items) in a sturdy bag (reusable with handles preferred, no plastic grocery bags please):

- Couple of breakfast items (box of cereal, granola bars, cereal bars)

- Couple of lunch items (mac n’ cheese, canned soup, Spaghettios, ravioli)

- Couple of snack items (fruit snacks, crackers)

- Couple of side items (boxed pasta/rice/potatoes)

- 2 cans of fruit

- 2 cans of vegetables

- Shelf stable milk or juice

- If you would like, add a gift card for a quick meal out in Charlotte or a special holiday treat (candy canes, holiday candy, holiday craft, etc)!

Then, please drop off your assembled Oriole Packs on Thursday, December 16th at the Charlotte High School Athletic Stadium Concession Building between 10:00am and 1:00 pm. Please enter from the Middle School entrance at 1068 Carlisle Highway (see map attached). We ask that anyone dropping off bags please wear a mask when interacting with our staff or student volunteers.

We will then turn around and distribute Oriole Packs to those families in need later that evening.  More information will be shared later on this!
