Students recognized for achievement in scholarship, leadership, service and character
Charlotte High School recently inducted 48 students into the CHS chapter of the National Honor Society with a formal ceremony at the Charlotte Performing Arts Center. The ceremony was conducted by the National Honor Society officers: Madison Olson, President; Nathan Flores, Vice President; Paige Towns, Secretary; Sara Lin, Treasurer; and Madeline Sanders, Media. National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes high school junior and senior students who show achievement in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. All members must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and must exhibit premier leadership, scholarship, personal growth and success in school. Inductees and members are reviewed by a panel of teachers who evaluate a candidate’s integrity, leadership, scholarship, and character. Members must also complete at least 10 hours of community service annually.
The membership for the 2021-2022 school year totals 99 students, including 51 existing members and 48 new members.
