City of Mason issued the following announcement on Sept 27.
We were honored to accept the Gold Star Memorial Marker in recognition and tribute to our Gold Star Families today.
We are so proud of the contributions made by our veterans and the families who’s loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice.
We thank the National Garden Clubs, Michigan Garden Clubs and especially Mason Sycamore Creek Garden Club for bringing this lasting memorial to our city. Please stop by our cemetery to visit this peaceful garden and marker. Only one of six within Michigan!
