County of Clinton issued the following announcement on Aug 27.
Hot and humid weather will persist through the weekend. (For those of you that hate the heat, we tried to give you some hope in this graphic.)
Much like today, the heat index, or what the heat and humidity combined will feel like to your body, will reach into the mid 90s to near 100 across much of southwest and west-central Lower Michigan each day.
Drink plenty of water if you will be outdoors, even if you do not feel thirsty. Occasional thunderstorms with heavy downpours will bring brief periods of relief. More pleasant temperatures and humidity are still expected next week.
