City of Grand Ledge issued the following announcement on Aug 19.
Recognize this landmark? The north water tower (known at the time as the "Standpipe") has been a Grand Ledge identifier since it's construction in 1909...meaning it has been in service for 112 years! This week, crews have been working on the tower making important safety improvements and performing necessary preventative maintenance efforts. The repairs and improvements do not affect water supply or quality to service lines. The tower is tentatively scheduled to be repainted next week. We can't wait to see that GL blue and gold refreshed!
Please use caution along W. Front St. as crews continue working. Thank you!
