City of Owosso recently issued the following announcement.
UPDATE: Residents who were asked to evacuate can return home.
The Owosso Fire Department is on scene of a gas leak near Memorial Hospital.
As a precaution several homes in the area have been asked to evacuate until the leak is contained by Consumers Energy.
Consumers Energy workers are in the area conducting gas readings and working to contain the leak.
