The campaign committee of Democratic Party candidate Julie Brixie, Julie Brixie for State Representation, paid $581 to Facebook on September 26.

According to quarterly campaign statements filed with Michigan’s Secretary of State, the following reason was given for the expenditure: 'advertising'.

The committee has spent about $11,301 total since the beginning of the year, 5.1 percent of which has gone to Facebook.
